There's a pawnshop near my job that sells all blurays for a flat two bucks apiece (even season sets, got s1 of HANDMAID'S TALE for two bucks!) Dredd didn't have a case, so they halved that for me.
They've had VERY pricey stuff in there a couple times (if I'd known what the RUNNING MAN/RED HEAT double br was going for online, I'd have grabbed it up), so I guess they don't check if the items is OoP or collectible. Plus Goodwill, if the stuff lasts for a month, it goes to half-off, so the blu-rays are 1.99 instead of 3.99. And there is a value village nearby that has 40% off for Seniors one day a week, so I got a DVD of JUDGMENT AT NUREMBERG for a buck sixty or so. Except for a couple of TWILGHT TIMES and WRATH OF KHAN, I don't think I've bought anything new full price in seven or eight years. Maybe a Criterion or three for my wife, probably during 50% off month, that's it.
People are just dumping physical media like you wouldn't believe (I have a feeling most will come to regret this in a few years), goodwill gets in still-sealed blu-ray sets.
