I don't know much about the Ninja Turtles but Krang here looks like some bizarre Cronenberg shit. And that's a good thing.

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly how Krang always looks, throughout mediums. A big ol' mushy, lumpy, tentacled, pink brain-thing.

The film has 1300 vfx shots. ILM's team was around 550, which is huge. ILM's support team included BASE, Virtuos, and Whiskytree.

Just saw this. Astonished at the realism of the turtles and the fidelity of the performance capture. The final fight on the death star thingy had a bit of digital sheen, but that aside, marvellous work. Much more successful than Warcraft, which did little well for me.

Yep, terrible movie, but exceptional animation(even better than the first movie). I wonder also if the water ,during the Brazil scenes, is mostly cg.

Pablo mentioned they used a lot of CG water because of some of the nature of the shots and the plates not really having enough cinematic flair(my words).

I think if you read about those river shoots in the above articles I linked to he mentions the limitations arising during the production shoots.
